Pet-Friendly Spaces In Agassiz And Harrison Hot Springs

Traveling with your furry friend? We get it. From our whippet Finn to yours, we've learned and put together some local community insights.

In general, when visiting Agassiz, Harrison or Sasquatch Park our furry friends must be on a leash at all times. If they want to go for a dip, they can be off-leash while swimming in designated areas, but otherwise, they must be leashed. Keep in mind that pets are not allowed on the beaches, in picnic areas, or inside park buildings.

Bringing pets into the backcountry increases the risk of wildlife encounters, especially off-leash so it’s recommended avoiding this activity. Of course, do not leave pets unattended and remember to properly dispose of their waste.

Always double-check pet-friendly policies, they may vary with management or staff changes.

Agassiz Dog Off-Leash Dog Parks

The District of Kent (Agassiz) has three designated off-leash dog spots - Centennial Park, Pixley Lane for smaller pups, and Morrow Road for larger dogs. Remember to keep your furry friend under control and have a leash on hand. All other public spaces require your pup to be leashed. Each park has signage and cleaning supplies, and the city has prepared a handy map (highlighted in green) that shows you all the off-leash options.
